Now in the development of the construction field, people have more understanding of concrete admixtures. As a component of concrete admixture, its function is well known. With the continuous increase of the application amount of concrete admixture, some problems related to the application of the admixture are gradually exposed. From the perspective of ensuring the durability and volume stability of concrete, limiting the alkali content of admixtures is one of the effective means to control the total alkali content of concrete. After adding admixtures in concrete, the same water-cement ratio and fluidity can save 10% to 15% of cement, so the energy consumption of concrete production can be greatly saved when formulating high-fluidity, low-water-cement ratio high-performance concrete. Concrete mixed with admixtures containing retarding components has a larger increase in late strength; high performance concrete mixed with retarding admixtures and fine active materials at the same time has a higher late strength increase. The high-performance admixture is put into the mixer together with other materials during concrete mixing. It has air-entraining performance and a higher water-reducing rate than the commonly used high-efficiency water-reducing admixtures. It is an admixture with good retention performance. Concrete used under different conditions has different requirements for admixtures, and sometimes even requires admixtures to have multiple functions. Therefore, the multifunctionalization of concrete admixtures can be understood as designing admixtures according to usage requirements.
